Michelle Wie was born on October 11, 1989. Her birth name is Michelle Sung Wie. She is  an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour.

In the year 2006, she was named " One of the 100 people who shape our world" in one of the articles of Times magazine. She was very fond of playing Golf even in her chilhood. She started playing Golf when she was of 4 years. Six years later, when she was 10 years old, she qualified for the Women's U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.

In the year 2001, when she turned 11, she won the oldest and most prestigious women’s amateur tournament in Hawaii i.e. Women’s Stroke Play Championship and the Jennie K. Wilson Women’s Invitational.
