Diane Kruger was born on 15 July 1976 in in Algermissen, Germany. Her mother was a bank employee Maria-Theresa and her father Hans-Heinrich Heidkrüger was a computer specialist. She was raised in Germany, but later on she moved to London to study ballet with the Royal Ballet. She could not fulfill her dream of being a dancer as she had a very serious knee injury. She then took modelling and acting as her career. She established herself as an actress first in France and then in Hollywood.
Her debut was in a TV movie The Piano Player(2002). Thereafter, she acted in many movies such as Troy(2004) one of her well known movies and many others such as Wicker Park(2004),Frankie(2005),The Tiger Brigades(2006), Goodbye Bafana(2007),Anything for Her(2008), Inglourious Basterds(2009), Mr. Nobody(2010).
