Keira Christina Knightley was born in the South London suburb of Richmond on March 26th 1985. She is an english film actress and model. She is the daughter of actor Will Knightley and actress turned playwright Sharman Macdonald. She began her career as a child and came to international prominence in 2003 after co-starring in the films Bend It Like Beckham and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Knightley's first high profile role came in 1999, as Sabe, Decoy Queen to Natalie Portman's Queen Amidala in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999).
